"Every Winter, on the shores of Longmen, Penghu archipelago, Taiwan, the storms gather huge amount of plastic trashes, mostly coming from the fishing industry and from China. The garbage stays there until someone picks it up or decays into smaller plastic particles which travel back into the sea or stay in the sand and the soil. On that windy day, I noticed an (un)usual number of empty plastic bottles in a remote little creek. Before collecting them, I tried to listen, inside these containers, using lavalier microphones. Naively, I thought I could remove all these plastic bottles from the area by myself. But after filling my car with about 200 of them, I realized that only 10% of the covering was gone. Fortunately some local NGO and individuals are working hard on cleaning the shores, on my next visit the bottles were gone - until the next storm."
